Happy Halloween!

Even bijpraten...(1)

You might have thought things were quiet over here at EQP...

In tegendeel!

On the contrary! It has been quite a rollercoaster of events here! Fabrics, patterns, Show & Tells and the first classes with our own fabrics!
But let's start at the beginning...

Saturday October 15, I planned a trip to Patch & Stitch in Weert (the Netherlands). This Summer, Wendy had send me an e-mail to ask if I would be interested in giving a Show & Tell.

It proved to be a good idea, because so many people were interested that we had to organise an extra Show & Tell!

It was my first visit to the lovely shop. Wendy offers a large collection of fabrics, which makes you want to hoard even more (beautiful reproduction prints, a collection of bright feedsack prints and much more...) and a warm welcome.

There wasn't much time for me to look around, because the first ladies soon arrived. Before and after the Show & Tell, we offered our patterns for sale and of course they could choose some matching fabrics from the shop. Wendy had enlarged the shop, by incorporating the terrace and annex. What a lovely way to display the quilts and fabrics!

A lovely day always seems to go by too fast, I think, but everyone enjoyed oneself and went home inspired. I chatted some more with Wendy and Marc and admired Wendy's quilt, which she was quilting with her longarm machine and then it was time for me to head back home.

Fijne dag!

Last Saturday, it was another busy day, but this time at Atelier Fat Quarters in Culemborg (the Netherlands). More about that later!

Have a nice day!

Show & Tell bij Quiltstudio Patch & Stitch...

You could read it in the agenda in our newsletter already. October 15, I'll be giving a Show & Tell at Quiltstudio Patch & Stitch. Besides one in de the morning, there will be an extra Show & Tell in the afternoon. You can reserve your seat by e-mailing Wendy!

'n "Tussenstop"...

For years, we've been good customers at the post office in Eersel. To avoid high shipping rates, we cross the border to the Netherlands, to mail our orders.

Most of the times, I jump out of the car, while Philippe drives in circles because of the one-way roads (waiting in the middle of the road probably isn't much appreciated by the drivers who are behind us ;o) ) to pick me up again.

After driving through the lovely village centre, he always (really, always... *sigh*) says: "what a lovely town it is. We must come here to explore it!"

Saturday, we visited Sabine and Henry (who organise the Quilt Day in Helmond) to bring them our spronsoring as promised. On the way back home, the last Summer sunshine convinced us to take the exit to Eersel and to finally explore the little village.

That last Summer sunshine was warmer then we thought, so we left our body warmers in the car. It even got so warm that on the terrace, we choose a table in the shadow.

In the meanwhile we spotted a somewhat extraordinary accordeon player, wearing a red jeans and flashy pink sunglasses. He appeared to be a 'fox' in a 'fox hunting' game (people walk around in a village, dressed up, among the normal people and children have to find them). I remembered walking around like a dressed up peacock in the middle of a village once ;o)

It was only there that we found out Eersel is a good place to go cycling, but we enjoyed our little walk as well. A nice way to spend a day out!

While on our way, I took some pictures of the lolvey, characteristic village houses with green and yellow doors and windows, cute curtains and gardens with fruit trees under which the chickens and peacocks were enjoying the fallen apples.

Philippe and I enjoyed a home made hamburger at 't Menneke. With French fries. In Dutch we say 'our eyes were larger then our stomachs', but it was delicious!

A new weekend has already started, again with some nice plans!

Maybe I'll meet you at the Quilt Day in Helmond later today?
